JOIN THE MOVEMENT

JOIN A COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS WITH THE SAME GOAL.

God never designed us to live isolated lives feeling disconnected from community. The church is meant to be a body that is interwoven together like a fabric with different layers within the stitching. We might not all be similar and that’s ok. God made us unique. If you desire to be a part of a community that doesn't just hang together, but grows together, click the button below to take the next step!

THERE IS SO MUCH TO OUR FAITH! WE WANT TO HELP YOU GO BEYOND…

Beyond the Surface is our discipleship platform that involves teaching encapsulated within community. Both of virtual classroom and a physical gathering. Discipleship is meant to be walked out and not just talked about from a distance. Jesus walked with the disciples and we know as believers that we are to do the same.
This our way of providing content and relationship. Let’s walk together & do life!

WE ARE THE COBBS

Cedric and Lauren Cobb have been friends for 20 years and married for 12 years. They have two wonderful children named Camille Halal (11) and Kylan Arrow (6). They enjoy going on date nights where they eat Japanese food and watch enjoyable movies. Cedric is the Lead Pastor and has been serving in Pastoral ministry for 8 years. Lauren has worked administratively in ministry for over 5 years. They are both enthusiastic about ministry and have more than 10 years of experience serving in different leadership roles.

Our Mission

Jesus commanded us to go into all the earth, and to “make” disciples! At Surface Church, our mission is to see God’s purpose surface in people. We want to be known as “surfacers” of purpose in this world full of people searching for what’s lost.
As a community, we will accomplish this through creating corporate encounters that cultivates a hunger for personal encounters and devotion to God. Not only that, but we will equip and empower people through discipleship and demonstration of the Kingdom.

CHECK OUT OUR LATEST  MESSAGE

This powerful message takes us deep into the story of Joseph, not to celebrate his triumph, but to examine the uncomfortable process that preceded it. We're challenged to see our darkest moments—the pits, the prisons, the betrayals—not as punishments but as preparation. Using the profound metaphor of a seed's growth, we discover that just as a seed must be buried in darkness, surrounded by dirt and moisture, before it can produce fruit, we too must endure what feels like burial to experience resurrection. The message confronts our obsession with mountaintop experiences while we rush through valleys, yet it's in those hidden places where true transformation occurs. Joseph's journey from the pit his brothers threw him into, through slavery and false imprisonment, reveals that God's promises don't change even when our circumstances become unbearable. The optimal conditions for a seed—soil, water, and sunlight—parallel our own growth requirements, though we resist the dirt, the moisture, and the heat. What strikes deepest is the realization that Joseph was promoted even with pain in his heart, reminding us that our wounds don't disqualify us from purpose. We're invited to shift our perspective: to stop asking why we're here in terms of destiny alone, and start asking why we're here in this valley, this pit, this uncomfortable season. The answer transforms everything—we're being planted, not buried.
