Purpose of Fasting
FASTING IS ALL ABOUT DENIAL WITH THE INTENTION OF DEEPER DEVOTION AND FOCUS ON GOD. SHIFTING THE FOCUS OF OUR HUNGER TO THE LORD AND DESIRING HIM ABOVE ANYTHING THAT THE WORLD COULD OFFER FOR OUR SATISFACTION.
AS WE PLACE NATURAL RESTRICTIONS ON AREAS OF CONSUMPTION WHILE FEEDING OUR APPETITE WITH SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES AND CONSUMPTION OF GOD'S WRITTEN WORD AND HIS PRESENCE.

Weekly Focus
EACH WEEK WILL COME WITH AN AREA OF FOCUS.
WHILE WE ARE FASTING, WE WILL, AS A CHURCH, PROVIDE LANGUAGE EACH WEEK THAT WILL ASSIST YOU IN YOUR FASTING. WE WILL ALSO COMMUNICATE DAILY THROUGH SOCIAL PLATFORMS AS WELL.
WHILE WE ARE FASTING, WE WILL, AS A CHURCH, PROVIDE LANGUAGE EACH WEEK THAT WILL ASSIST YOU IN YOUR FASTING. WE WILL ALSO COMMUNICATE DAILY THROUGH SOCIAL PLATFORMS AS WELL.
3 Types of Fasts to Choose From
- Straight Fast (no food, only water)
- This can be done for the entire 21 days OR
- This can be done from 6am-6pm
- Timed Fasting: (ex: from 6am - 6pm)
- You can fast from all food between this time frame
- You can do the Daniel fast between this time frame
- Daniel Fast
- Foods Allowed:
- Vegetables: Fresh, frozen, canned, dried, or juiced
- Fruits: Fresh, frozen, canned, or juiced
- Whole grains: Such as whole wheat, oats, quinoa, brown rice, and amaranth
- Beans/Legumes
- Nuts & Seeds
- Water
- Foods Not Allowed:
- Animal products, including meat, poultry, fish, seafood, and eggs
- Dairy, including milk, cheese, cream, and yogurt
- Leavened bread
- Refined or processed foods
- Sweeteners, alcohol, soda, and caffeine
