Faith Talk 4

What does it really mean to say yes to God -- not just once, but again and again? This message takes us deep into the story of Joseph in Genesis 37 and 39, where a young dreamer is stripped of his coat, thrown into a pit by his own brothers, and sold into a foreign land. Yet in every dark chapter of his story, God's presence never left him. We explore how the pit was not the end of Joseph's story but the beginning of his preparation -- and how the same is true for us. The central truth that emerges is both challenging and freeing: our yes to God was never really about us. Joseph's obedience, even when it cost him everything, ultimately preserved an entire nation and protected the very lineage through which Jesus would come. That same weight of purpose rests on our own willingness to keep saying yes, even when we are tired, confused, or sitting in an uncomfortable season we did not choose.
