Beyond Pt. 1
The sermon explored what it truly means to go beyond our current level of faith, obedience, and commitment to God's purposes. We examined how many of us have become comfortable with casual Christianity—showing up when it's convenient, pursuing our own vision boards without consulting God, and expecting Him to bless our plans rather than seeking His. Through the stories of Abraham, the people of Haggai's time, and even the Wright Brothers' 12-second flight, we discovered that going beyond requires us to lay aside every weight, separate from what holds us back, and prioritize God's house alongside our own. This isn't about perfection—it's about reservation, right standing, and follow-through on the promises and purposes God has placed in our hearts.
